Dr. Sesterhenn is a pioneer in using robotic interventions and endoscopic operations through the nose to remove tumors. These methods use incisions as small as 1 cm, minimizing nerve damage (such as protecting the vocal cords) and accelerating patient recovery. He has performed over 4,000 complex surgical interventions. He is heavily specialized in thyroid resections, thyroidectomies, and treating aggressive head and neck tumors.

He was awarded the 15th Dr. M.A. Wazed Miah International Gold Medal-2025 for his work in Medical Health Care.
